Bushfire (BAL)
How your Bushfire Attack Level changes both your approval pathway and your build cost.
If your land is mapped as bushfire-prone, a Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) is assessed for the build. It drives construction requirements under AS 3959.
BAL affects two separate things people often conflate: whether you can use the fast CDC pathway at all, and how much the construction itself costs.

Your BAL must be assessed for your specific site and building position by a qualified assessor. The pathway consequence above is sourced, but the rating itself is not something this or any tool can determine for you.
